HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF
artist-in-residence (a.i.r.)
Sinds 2008 heeft de stichting id11 huizen in beheer die gesloopt worden
en plaats maken voor nieuwbouw. De huizen worden ingezet voor het artist-in-recidence
progamma HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF, waar (inter)nationale kunstenaars kunnen
wonen en werken. Het residence programma is steeds voor een bepaalde tijd
en gekoppeld aan een id11 project. In 2008 vonden de projecten HET TIJDELIJK
VERBLIJF en HIER&DAAR plaats gedurende juni, juli en augustus. Met
deze projecten onderzochten we de mogelijkheden om een artist-in-residence
te realiseren in Delft. Het project FLAT_land vond plaats in 2009 en bestond
uit een groot aantal appartementen en huizen. id11 vroeg kunstenaars in
hun werk een relatie te zoeken met deze unieke locatie. Iedere maand vond
er een presentatie plaats van de projecten HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF (2008)
en FLAT_land (2009). In het archief

gastatelier
Op dit moment hebben we een gastenkamer voor het artist-in-recidence programma,
die beschikbaar is voor een kunstenaar of kunstenaars duo (beeldend, muziek,
dans, enz.) van buiten Delft die gedurende een maand willen werken en
wonen in Delft. De woning is in goede staat en bevindt zich op loopafstand
van het winkelcentrum. De artist-in-recidence is sober ingericht, voorziet
niet in eten (keuken aanwezig) en schoonmaak (zelf doen) en heeft geen
materiaal en apparatuur beschikbaar. id11 voorziet in een gratis woon-
en werkplek, een maandelijkse presentatie, publiciteit en een klein werkbudget.
op_LOCATIE
In het winkelcentrum is id11 gestart met het nieuwe project op_LOCATIE
in een leegstaand winkelpand. Het project op_LOCATIE omvat de gastenkamer
HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF en het winkelpand dat gebruikt wordt als werk-
en presentatieruimte. Kunstenaars kunnen gedurende drie weken werken aan
hun project en presenteren dit in de twee laatste weekenden van de maand.
We verwachten van kunstenaars dat ze in hun werk een relatie zoeken met
de omgeving, de locatie en/of de ruimte.
Kunstenaars kunnen een projectvoorstel indienen, voorzien van recente documentatie en het aanmeldingsformulier, dat hier is te downloaden

HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF

Since 2008 foundation id11 has houses available which are slated for demolition,
for id11’s artist-in-residence program HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF, as spaces
for (inter)national artists to live and work. The residence program takes
place in a period of time and is connected to an id11 project. In 2008
the project HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF and HIER&DAAR took place from June-August.
The aim of these projects where to investigate the possibilities to realize
an artist-in-residence in Delft. The project Flat_land took place in 2009
and involved a larger number of houses and apartments. id11 asked all
participating artists to make work related to this unique location. Every
month there was a presentation of the projects HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF
(2008) and FLAT_land (2009). In the archive

a.i.r.
At the moment id11 has one guestroom available as part of their artist-in-residence
program HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF. The residence-quest room is available
for one artist or a duo (visual-, music-, performing arts, etc.) from
other cities and abroad who like to work and live in Delft for 1 month.
The house is in a good state, easy to reach by public transport and in
walking distance from the shopping centre. The artist-in-residence is;
based on self catering basis, is basic furnished, does not include cleaning
staff and laundry service (you should do it your self), supplies no material
or equipment. id11 provides; a free living and working space, monthly
presentations, publicity and a small working budget
op_LOCATIE
At the shopping centre id11 start their new project op_LOCATIE in a former
shop. op_LOCATIE involves HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF and the shop which will
be used as a working and exhibition space for the quest artists. Artists
will be able to work about three weeks on their project and present their
work the last two weekends of the month. The space is available for artists
to realize site specific projects. We expected from the artist that they
search in their work for a relation with the neighborhood, the location
and/or the space.
